Meet Prairie. Our brushed suri yarn that’s 100% alpaca! Prairie is all natural and an excellent alternative for lace weight mohair, creating a luxuriously soft option. Prairie’s unique blend consists of 53% Suri Alpaca/47% Baby Huacaya Alpaca. The combination of softness from the Suri Alpaca and the structure from the Baby Huacaya Alpaca creates a magnificent yarn. Light, airy, and soft, this single-ply, fingering weight yarn consists of 14 picturesque colors inspired by Minnesota prairies.
When used on its own Prairie creates a sheer, lightweight fabric. When paired with another yarn, it creates a feathery, soft halo with interesting texture. Prairie creates dreamy, finished fabrics and works well at a different gauges. This brand new yarn is a versatile option for your next project.
